Marriage
One of the most beautiful traditions in Islam and of the Prophet of God (peace be upon him and his family) is marriage.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) said:
“Marriage is my tradition, and whoever turns away from my tradition is not of me.”
He also said: “Whoever marries has preserved half of his faith.”
You may visit this center, by appointment and with the required documents, to conduct the marriage contract (Nikah) and receive an official marriage certificate.

Documents required for official marriage registration:

Danish marriage certificate.

Original ID cards (birth certificates) of both parties.

Original Danish passports of both parties, or any other valid passports along with Danish residence cards.

Danish health insurance (yellow) cards for both parties.

If this is the bride’s first marriage, the presence of her father or a notarized written consent from him is required.

A payment of 1,200 DKK must be made in person when opening the marriage file.

If one of the parties is a non-Muslim and wishes to embrace Islam, he or she may do so at this center and receive a certificate of conversion.
Please send scanned copies of the above documents (after masking the last four digits of the CPR number, national ID, and passport number) to the email address below at least 72 hours before the appointment, to allow preparation of the marriage documents.
Failure to do so will make it impossible to issue the official marriage certificate on the day of your appointment.
All original documents must be presented in person upon arrival.
